This twin station from LA and OC has gone through a lot of formats over the years, but these days it's a fresh alternative to KROQ in the alternative realm, and has some serious punk rock and indie credibility going both forward and backward. Rolling Stone has called Indie 103 "America's Coolest Station." They manage to play stuff as adventurous as public radio, without the self-righteousness, and without ignoring the gritty stuff that doesn't fit with pledge drives.

Shows include former Sex Pistol Steve Jones, a local artist show on sunday nights, a show with Henry Rollins playing anything he wants (of course...), Nina Blackwood's New Wave Nation, and Connunity Service, with the Crystal Method. The live webstream uses Liquid Compass, a player that seems to work very well with the Macintosh.
